The barley is then dried before the grinding phase. When it is dry, the malt is ground in grain mills, resulting in a special flour (backfill). Backfill is prepared in the same way for the grain component "Glen Clan". The backfill is then mixed with hot water to form the wort. The whiskey is produced using the traditional double distillation method in large copper stills. Aging is an important stage during which the whiskey improves its character, develops softness and aroma, so the best barrels are selected for maturation.
